Nothing says fall like apples, warm treats, hot drinks, and enjoying the fall leaves with friends.
Last weekend I got to try out a place I've driven by before, but this time I had actually made plans to stop. Mr. Peabody's Apple Crisp in Buxton (off Long Plains Road) is a seasonal family owned and operated mobile food concession.
It was a little hard to make up my mind at first because they had so many mouth watering treats to choose from. Corn chowder anyone?
After some deliberation, I got a hot apple crisp combined with a maple bacon ice cream sundae. YES, it had crispy bacon and maple syrup drizzled on top. And it was DELICIOUS. I mean really, how could anyone say no to maple bacon?
Definitely will be back here again.
