Day in the Life

Pop o' Color

"Pop o’ Color". That's my favorite saying and my mantra. I am a firm believer that surrounding yourself with bright colors can create a mood, heighten your mindset, make you feel alive, and simply put, color can make you happy. Whenever I am staging a new listing or helping someone edit their home for a fresh new look, I always exclaim to my clients that we need a “pop o’ color”. I said it so much to one of my clients, that she now affectionately calls me by the name Miss Pop o’ Color. We all need to have a little color in our lives. I feed off color. Sometimes the neutral approach to design or life in general, simply doesn’t cut it. You want and need colors like fiery oranges and vibrant reds, cool and peaceful blues, and cheerful sunshine yellows. There is nothing bland or neutral about my life. Orange, definitely not a neutral shade, is my favorite color. Each Friday I try to share a post showcasing something orange that I have found at or on my way to a showing, in a little post titled, “Orange You Glad It’s Friday?”. This spring, I have been working with numerous buyer clients. With so many buyers, to accommodate them all, I have found myself traveling hundreds of miles around the state for showings. Spending so much time on the road has given me a delightful chance of finding random displays with pops of color in large installations on the sides of buildings or painted sidewalks. I thought I would share a few of those found colorful displays in my daily life as a Realtor on the Go … to leave you with a little color boost and to make you happy.

Kentucky Convention Trip

Since I was getting an award which granted my access to invitation-only mastermind classes, I attended the 2022 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The trip wasn’t all work and no play, though. We were in Kentucky, known for its bourbon and racing, and we enjoyed both.

Day INN the Life

I don’t usually get to follow the new owners of a property once it has been sold; however; six months after the closing the Royalsborough Inn, I was pleased to be invited by the new innkeepers to the official ribbon cutting ceremony and open house of The Bliss Farm Inn.
