Road Trip - Rainbow Driveway

It was photo shoot day and my photographer and I were on our way to my listing in Harrison. As per our usual routine, my friend and I had already found the best place in town to enjoy an “all you could eat breakfast buffet”.  Nothing beats good home cooked food from a good local diner.  After feasting on copious amounts of perfectly cooked crispy bacon, heaping mounds of fluffy scrambled eggs, a vast array of fruit, baked beans, sausage gravy over freshly made biscuits, light as a feather pancakes, and mouth watering going-for-seconds 3 cheese quiche, we were ready to embark on the next few hours of photographing the “summer home” of my client.

Enroute to the property we came upon this dramatic driveway, painstakingly painted with dots, swirls, circles, and squiggles in a color palette of 13 pigments. This was paint and not chalk. The result was a kaleidoscope of patterned color. It was truly amazing. We never know what we will see on our road trips….. But we always find something.

Even more impressive was the fact that this was viewed in Fall 2019, long before we were all quarantined and stranded at home with too much time on our hands. Impressive indeed.
